Post-Purchase Email Writing: A Product Care Series for New Dowsing Rod Owners
Two emails timed to the two moments a new copper tool makes its owner worry.
Source: Klaviyo flow report, last 90 days, 31 recipients.
— The brief —
Copper dowsing rods are the shop's top product page, and copper changes. New rods can arrive with green spots, and handled rods darken within weeks. A new owner who doesn't know that can mistake normal copper for a defect. The series had to reach each buyer at the moment each worry appears, explain what is happening, and show how to care for the rods without damaging them.
— The sample —
Email 1, on delivery
Subject: Welcoming your new copper dowsing rods ✨
Preview: Why a little green on new copper is normal, plus the old ways to cleanse a new pair.

Email 2, 21 days later
Subject: How to brighten copper dowsing rods ✨
Preview: A one-minute lemon and salt method, and what to keep away from copper.

The worry is answered before it becomes a return. The first heading is "A Little Green Is Normal." A new owner who sees spots assumes damage, so the email names the spots and explains them first, plus it heads off returns and support tickets.
Timing follows the product's life. Email 1 arrives with the rods; email 2 waits 21 days, about when handled copper starts to darken. Each email answers a question the owner is asking that week, so it reads as help instead of marketing.
Practice and materials, both handled accurately. The cleansing methods honor the practice, smoke, sound, moonlight, and breath, and the email warns that salt and water, common cleansing tools, are hard on copper. Accurate care advice builds trust, plus it protects the product.
Built to be scanned. Short headings, a numbered method, and a list of what to keep away from copper let an owner find the one answer they need, plus the link to the dowsing guide carries them to their first session.
— What I'll test next —
The same emails went to 28 past buyers as a campaign. The next step is a third email after the care series, asking satisfied owners for a review once they've used and cared for their rods.
